Notice!  Use the above nav-bar is to navigate through different pages of this section.  Use the "MAIN PAGE" link at the bottom (scroll down) of this section's pages to return to the rest of the site.

This section of my website is an in depth tutorial on the "HOW TO" of Battlezone map making.  While other map makers may have other methods, this is what I consider to be the easiest methodology.  ][ like easy.  The sequence of links on the navigation bar above is roughly laid out in the same sequence of events during the map making procedure.  There may be a few times when you are asked to return to a previous section, and there may be some sub- pages that are only linked to a current section.  All sections have different page names so if you should add one or more to your "Favorites" (also called "Bookmarks"), they are easily distinguished.

You will notice that the link names on the nav-bar will turn red for the current section.  It will also lose its hyperlink properties, so that only the black-lettered link names will still be active hyperlinks.  This is done on purpose with the idea that [1] you don't need to click a link to where you are, and [2] the red lettering can identify the current section.  You will notice there is no hyperlink to return here, so if you wish to return here, first return to the MAIN PAGE then using the link MAKE NEW MAPS will return you to this page.

During the course of this tutorial, you may be prompted to download files and Utilities which are being used in the current section. These will be the exact same files and utilities that I am using on this PC (Personal Computer).  My PC is a 3.2GHz Pentium4 running WindowsXP/Home, but I have also made maps on a 333MHz Celeron running Windows98SE.  I will try to make any known differences obvious as we go on.

As always, if I may assist you in any way, feel free to contact me for help.  To ENTER the tutorial and the first step of making a map, click the "PAINT" link on the nav-bar above.
