Small Moon Base

Here begins the scrolling info.
Solar Array: More commonly known as "Solar Power" unit, usually abbreviated S-Power.  It gathers light energy from the sun to provide power for Gun Towers and Comm Tower.  Other power units see in the game are the "Wind Power", or W-Power and the "Lightning Power", or L-Power.
Hangar Bay: More commonly known simply as a "Hangar".  A building of tunnel-shaped design that provides repairs for tanks damaged in battle.  Many players build two adjacent Hangars which provides repairs twice as quickly.
Satellite Comm Tower: More commonly known as "Comm Tower".  Provides satellite reconnaissance to the Commander (player) whether he is in his Tank or on foot.  It is useful for ordering tanks and other units into position, can be used to direct attacks, for the remote dropping of Nav Beacon spy cameras or Day Wrecker bombs from the Armory, and to direct the building of base structures.  The alien radar jamming technology used in the tanks masks enemy unit movements, unless friendly units are close proximity (within the radar range of friendly units or Nav Beacons).
Gun Towers: Powered remotely, these never run out of ammunition as long as the local power supply exists.  Gun Towers are a primary means of base defense, and react autonomously against enemies.
HQ Building: Also known as "Field HQ" buildings, these are one means of resupplying ammunition to tanks that have expended theirs.  Another, more common resupply building is the "Supply" building.  Many players build two adjacent Supply buildings to get their ammo resupply two times quicker.
Recycler: The Recycler is the primary production unit, and exists in both deployed and undeployed states.  The Recycler shown here is deployed on a steam "geyser" for energy, and so it is unfolded and static.  The complete Recycler builds Piloted vehicles, Repair and Ammo powerups, and other production units as well.  Destroying enemy Recyclers is one way of truly crippling their operations.
Pilot: The "live" combatants in the NSDF and CCA are the ones who do the fighting.  The three types are "Pilot", "Soldier", and of course the Commander (you) who is called the "Player"  NSDF types have silver-grey space suits, and the CCA types have red space suits.  Pilots whose tanks become destroyed are usually ejected safely from the explosion, and will find their way back to base under most conditions.  Sometimes enemies may kill them, or they may get stuck in craters or pits.
Tanks: Hover Tanks are the primary battle unit in this game.  Tanks are briefly discussed on the TANKS PAGE.  The NSDF Tank units are normally a greyish color, but these shown in this image have a black-and-green "skin" or paint job, which was from The Battlezone Club's Tank Skin Contest.
Light Tank: Light Tanks are also briefly discussed on the TANKS PAGE.  They have lighter armor, but are faster, and less expensive to build.
Bomber: The Bomber unit is a heavy attack unit, and carries dual Rocket launchers.  Due to the weight of their payload, the Bomber is a slower and less agile unit, but very popular due to their destructive Rockets, which travel in a straight line and explode on impact. One cannon can be added to a Bomber unit.
Scout: The Scout is a quick and agile, lightweight fighting vehicle.  It comes with dual Miniguns, but it can be fitted with a single rocket or guided missile type weapon as well.  Though the Scout's very light armor makes it easy to destroy, it's agility and weaponry make it a unit not to be underestimated.

This describes only a part of the fun arsenal awaiting the adventurous gamer in Battlezone.
